It’s Thursday in Playa – What’s there to do? Fun Things to do in Playa
Entertaining Things to do. I am very happy walking the beach during the day and 5th Ave. at night, but sometimes it’s fun to do something different. Thursdays are great days to do 2 things, both involving drinks and entertainment!
In the afternoon, either 4-8 or 5-9, The Nasty Bastards plays at Bad Boys on the Beach in Playa del Carmen. Bad Boys is located on the beach about 50 yards south of Calle 6 in Playa del Carmen, close to the ferry boat pier to Cozumel. They do a mix of 60′s, 70′s, and 80′s music. They are laid back, entertaining and people often join them on stage to sing.
Captain Dave’s Bad Boys Beach Club is a lot of fun whether you sit inside or on the beach. They roast chicken and ribs (I’ve never eaten there, but I hear it’s good).
Off The Vine
After a late afternoon of music and dancing, walk north on First Avenue to Off The Vine, where you can have wine tasting and a catered multi-course dinner. A sample menu recently included:
- Prosciuto with Melon
- Smoked Mussels
- Roasted Red Pepper with Goat cheese
- Marinated Artichokes
- Garlic Shrimp
- Mushrooms Ajillo
- Tortilla Espanola
- Spanish Chorizo
- Spanish Rice
