There are many places to stay in the Mayan Riviera, but the best area, the Premier Zone, is locate between the two Ferry Boat Docks, 5th Ave. and the Beach.
If you head west on Constituyentes to 5th Ave, turn left and go south on 5th to Juarez (Ferry Boat Landing Street), and back to the beach.
It is within this area that you are within walking distance to the Ferries to Cozumel, best beaches, restaurants and shopping, sports activities and accommodations.

The focal point of the Porto Playa property is a sanctuary reminiscent of a tropical rain forest. The Porto Playa Condo/Hotel is located in the heart of Playa, 1 block off the beach, 1 block off 5th Ave., 1 block south of Constituente. It is the single best location in Playa. Porto Playa has many ammenities including 24 hour front desk, 24 hour security, Concierge service, The Gym and room service is available.
There is a choice of 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom condo’s, as well as 2 and 3 bedroom penthouse units. Each condo is furnished and decorated differently and has it’s own unique style. Penthouse units also have a private rooftop, jacuzzi, gas grill, and lounge furniture.
All units have views of either the pool and sanctuary or the water. If you have children under 3 and/or you are not able to do stairs, the first floor might be more suitable. The main floor is 20 feet above street level and is lush with tropical plants and palm trees. It is a private, tropical paradise.
There are two pools: the upper pool waterfalls into the lower pool and the lower pool has a built in chaise lounge to help you remain cool while you sunbathe.

All units have full kitchens with everything you need including a coffee maker, full refrigerator, stove, blender, full-size coffee maker, toaster oven, and microwave. It is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, etc.
Porto Playa Condo/Hotels has only 21 units, full concierge service, daily maid service and opened in 2006. All units are air conditioned with temperature controls in each rom as well as ceiling fans and 5 gallon bottles of water.
Centrally located in the heart of Playa, Porto Playa is perfect for vacations, birthday celebrations, beach weddings, honeymoons and business groups and meetings.

We arrived Thursday at noon and by 1:30, while it was snowing in the midwest, we were eating grilled grouper sandwiches at Coco Maya, had friends over for drinks on the balcony, then ate outdoors at one of the best Italian restaurants in Playa, Al Bar Dello Sport.

Excellent, elegant property in an amazing location! EASILY accessible to all Playa del Carmen’s best beaches, restaurants and shopping!! Location, location, and great amenities!!!! This is truly one of the best properties in downtown Playa del Carmen. Our group stayed in a beautifully appointed and decorated 3 bedroom penthouse with terrific ocean views! Everything was just a few steps away, no need for a rental car or taxis!! Excellent service at both the condo and the beach club. Helpful, pleasant concierge service at desk. Fun yoga on the beach with Sam! Our group loved starlit evenings on our rooftop and jacuzzi!!
